Vi è mai capitato di amare un prodotto, di ricomprarlo prima ancora di finirlo e poi di non trovarvi altrettanto bene con la confezione nuova?
Questo è esattamente ciò che è successo a me con il Gel da Barba Biofficina Toscana (che ho usato e sto usando per la depilazione di gambe e ascelle da circa un anno, pur non essendo pensato specificamente per la depilazione femminile), prodotto che inizialmente ho adorato ma che poi, riacquistandolo... Non sembrava più lui.

La confezione col prodotto più ambrato è la più vecchia, quella che ho acquistato per prima; quella col prodotto più chiaro è la seconda.
Quando acquistai il secondo flacone (prima ancora di finire il primo, cosa che faccio spesso per evitare di trovarmi improvvisamente sprovvista del prodotto di turno) confesso di non aver badato alla differenza di colore... Almeno finché non sono arrivata a casa e ho messo le due confezioni l'una di fianco all'altra. Ma la cosa che mi lasciò perplessa fu, soprattutto, la visibile differenza di consistenza.
Il primo gel, infatti, è a tutti gli effetti un gel: denso al punto giusto, abbastanza da non sgusciar via tra le dita. Il secondo invece non è un gel, neanche lontanamente: è praticamente liquido, pressoché impossibile da gestire - applicarlo sulle ascelle è un'impresa, perché cola. Sulle gambe va un po' meglio per ovvi motivi, la zona è più ampia ed è anche più semplice prendere la mira, per così dire.
Ciò incide anche a livello di efficacia: il primo consentiva una depilazione agevole con una giusta quantità di prodotto, mentre occorre una quantità decisamente maggiore del secondo - che comunque trovo meno efficace. Il rasoio scorre ma tende a grattare e ad avere un'azione più limitata. Depila meno a fondo, ecco, a meno di non fare più passate del normale. In teoria dovrebbe schiumare un po' al fine di favorire la scorrevolezza del rasoio, ma è talmente minima che non fa una gran differenza. Se non altro non intasa il rasoio.

Must say, I didn't notice the colour difference when I bought the second one. I just grabbed it since I was finishing the other pack (I usually purchase a new product before actually finish the previous).
But, as soon as I went back home, I realized they looked like two different products. First of all, because of the colours. Secondly, because of the texture.
The older one is actually a gel: nicely dense, easy to apply. The newer one is definitely NOT a gel: way too liquid, hard to work with, frustrating to apply. Try apply an almost liquid thing on your underarms without having it pour down. It gets easy on legs: the wider the zone, the easier to aim at it, so to say.
Of course this is quite a problem when it comes to efficacy: the first one really helped the shaving process. To obtain the same result with the second one you'd need a bigger amount of product - and still, the shaving is not effortless and less precise. Unless you keep going and going. It's supposed to foam, in order to help the razor slide - but not really. The foam is so thin it makes no difference. On the other hand, it doesn't clog the razor blades.

Riguardo al secondo... Non irrita la pelle e la lascia morbida, ma temo non sia abbastanza - non si parla di una crema idratante, ma di un prodotto per la depilazione. Nel momento in cui la depilazione non viene favorita al meglio il prodotto mi perde di significato.

In tutto ciò entrambi i prodotti sembrano avere lo stesso inci - che ho minuziosamente controllato, sospettando una riformulazione... Ma anche se la lista è identica ciò non esclude del tutto una riformulazione, poiché potrebbero aver solo alterato alcune dosi di determinati ingredienti, senza sostituirli. Ho anche pensato di aver beccato un flacone proveniente da un lotto anomalo (visto che la foto sul sito ritraeva il secondo flacone, quello chiaro) ma anche questa supposizione pare inesatta dato che, setacciando il web, ho scovato foto che ritraggono il primo flacone. Quindi non credo che fosse anomalo né tantomeno credo di essermelo sognato.

But the new one... it doesn't irritate the skin, that's all - definitely not enough for a shaving product, in my opinion.

Purtroppo non ho avuto il tempo di scrivere e chiedere delucidazioni a Biofficina, quindi per ora non ho una soluzione definitiva riguardo questo mistero.
Non mi sento di consigliare questo "gel" (virgolette obbligatorie, perché se quello è un gel io sono un pesce rosso): è troppo liquido, scomodissimo da usare, l'efficacia è relativa perché non si riesce a creare uno strato corposo di prodotto.
Buffo pensare che, se mi fossi fermata al primo flacone, avrei senz'altro promosso il prodotto a pieni voti... Tuttavia, il secondo flacone mi costringe a ritrattare.
(Non ho avuto modo di farlo testare ad un membro maschile della famiglia, quindi mi astengo dal parlare di efficacia su barba e pelle maschile.)

I don't feel like recommending this shaving "gel" (quote marks needed - if that's a gel then I'm a guppy). It's way to liquid to be defined as such, inconvenient to used and just partially efficient, since you can't really build it up on the skin.
It's quite funny that I was going to truly recommend the product, until I used the new bottle.
(I wasn't able to have a male family member trying this so... No impressions about the efficacy on male skin and beard, sorry).

Mi dispiace veramente dover bocciare questo prodotto, l'ho amato alla prima confezione, credevo fosse un futuro holy grail... È proprio un peccato che la formula sia stata in qualche modo modificata, era ottimo prima! Direi proprio che, una volta finita questa seconda confezione sarà il momento di provare qualcosa di nuovo.
I'm so sad about this. I really, really loved the product at my first try - I thought it was going to be an holy grail of mine... Such a pity that they changed somehow its formula, it was so so good before! It's time to move on and try a new shaving product, I guess.
