Market Place For Your Subculture/Alternative Preference: The RebelsMarket

tháng 6 09, 2014     blogging, burlesque, Fashion, gothic, IDGAF, music, online jobs, pastel goth, rebelsmarket, rockabilly, steampunk, street goth, style, subculture, victorian     No comments

Finally! Three of my articles have been finally published on RebelsMarket blog site.
I've been very blessed because I'm one of those lucky bloggers that have been discovered
by the owner of this marketplace in the U.S. last year. I was about to write for them around July of 2013 but my laptop malfunctioned. It's just now that I have time and I have a new desktop to use for blogging again.

I've been discovered when I posted my article regarding Music Meets Fashion. I was just expressing myself coz I was thinking why my fashion sense is quite different. A few months later I received a message from my business account and at first I thought it was a spam, virus or prank. Then after a few conversation with the owner, I found out they're real.

Check out their Official Facebook Page:

RebelsMarket is a place where you can shop for subculture and alternative clothing and accessories. They're divided into different categories, there's for Burlesque, Pin-up, Vintage, Gothic and more subculture stuffs and categories you could ever imagine. (Hah! I freaking love it) I really enjoy writing articles for them. I learn so many things about my weird preference, and I also I experience sense of belonging while writing, then a sense of accomplishment every time I see my articles being published.

Here's a screen cap of my first two articles. First is about the influence of music and musicians to different group of people, second is Street Goth which is very popular among rappers these days.

the third's the latest and my favorite among the three: It's all about Pastel Goth.

I couldn't give you guys any tips on how to become a good writer coz I don't think I'm good either. I just blog. I post whatever's on my mind. I don't blog to flatter a certain company or to promote them coz I want them to notice me. I think readers will believe you if you yourself have tried and tested what you are blogging about. I don't care if I'm grammatically correct or wrong, so I don't give a fuck about those grammar nazis. I don't give a shit if I'm different from others. Just be yourself. Be real. Say whatever's on you mind.

Learn I.D.G.A.F.
"I don't give a fuck"

Still balancing my time time, talk about STRUGGLE. Struggling coz I've got 2 more online jobs that require time management and one managerial skills. I didn't see all of it coming at the same time, but I do love what I have now, these are the jobs that I've always wanted.
My cosmetics business is about to boom.. hah! another one. I've got several orders to process for this month. I can do it. Somebody should take care of my little Draven first,
then I'm good.

Well, what do you think about my articles with RM lovelies?

Etude House Cosmetics Haul and New Endorsers

tháng 10 04, 2013     2ne1, color pop, Dara, dear my blooming lips-talk, etude house, Haul, k-drama, k-pop, kiss note, krystal, miss tangerine, music, nails, pearlescent sky blue, shawol, shinee, shinee world, singapore, sulli     No comments

I miss blogging and it's really been a long time!
I have a few stuffs from Etude House that I failed to post and review
coz aside from being busy my freaking laptop's still not working.
I'll be updating you guys with some of the lippies that I have, and more.

The last time that I blogged I was all over SHINee and Dara.
Even when I went to Singapore their faces were all over Orchard Malls and K-Street in Bugis.
I even watched SHINee's concert, alone.

Now they have their latest endorsers, SM Entertainment's Fx members
Sulli and Krystal.

Sulli and Krystal shares the same company/agency with SHINee.
They're from a 5 member girl group.
They're called F(x).

I knew that Sulli will be the next in line coz Etude House Korea was the sponsor
2012's teeny South Korean drama "To The Beautiful You".
Most of the casts' toiletries were from Etude, including Kwanghee's lipbalm
that made me laugh coz it looks familiar.

He's using the SHINI Star Lipbalm in Cherry, the main character from the drama's shade
(Minho's a.k.a Park Tae Jun)

I have 5 of it!! Then when I couldn't even use all of them at the same time,
I gave some of it to my cousins. I've done reviews from the past too,
just click the "Etude House" label at the right lower side of my blog.

One lippie's left for me, and it's the guava flavor.

Throwback!! This has been my favorite picture, and I did an inspired look last year.
Unfortunately when I watched the concert last December I wasn't able to do this.
I was too lazy and I went to Singapore Indoor Stadium early.

Now let me share with you the sweet smelling, sweet tasting lip tints!

Sulli is using the Fresh Cherry Tint in PK001 pink

I've bought 4 Fresh Cherry Tints from the past, and here's a collage
I made a month ago

I've got the 4 shades!!
In this pic, I'm wearing Fresh Cherry Tint in OR201 Peach

Still can't get over the Kiss Note Era of Dara and SHINee.
I've bought My Blooming Lips-Talk, one at a time.
in this crappy pic I'm using the lippie in OR204 Shy Coral.

So far, it's my favorite since it makes me look glowing,
and it complements my complexion and hair color well.
I used to like nude lippies but now i kinda hate them coz they made me look
ultra anemic.

Now there's a new line of pink lippies endorsed by Fx's Krystal
called the Pink Talk Line.
I've got PK014 and I still want to get PK012.
I also got  RD306 and PK006

Pink play party was held at Marina Bay Sands last August.
Lucky Singaporean fans were able to catch a glimpse again
of the five boys together with Sulli.

I wonder where are my other nail polishes, lippies, lipbalms..
Last time I checked these are the ones left.. :(
I swear from now on I won't let my friends borrow
any of my makeups...
or my little cousins play with them..

I miss my shopping buddy, my bezzie.
She went back to Singapore last February.
Sooner or later I'll visit her there again, and I'll be bringing my baby and my husband. ^_^
Something to look forward to! It'll be next year.

In this pic we purchased lippies and nail polish, both pale pink and baby pink.
He're a few pics from her beautiful hands, and my thin bony hand.

**Trivia* Lippie Color Guide**

PK stands for Pink - PK006, PK009, PK014
OR stands for Orange - OR201, OR204, OR205
RD stands for Red - RD306, RD304
BE stands for Beige - BE101, BE1

So many colors.. new collections..
Here's Sulli's Orange lippie line,
and more.

Still, so many stuffs to look forward to!
What are your faves and latest hauls from Etude House? :)

G-Dragon of Big Bang's "Fantastic Baby" Music Video Inspired Lips

tháng 4 27, 2012     celebrity inspired makeup, g-dragon, k-pop, korean makeup, lip arts, music     No comments

Last night I was just looking at the mirror feeling so bored and was about to wash my face,
After a long day of teaching and listening to Korean songs,
I still can hear Big Bang's single "Fantastic Baby" ringing in my head.
Yeah it was my LSS. (Last Song Syndrome).

During my free time I tried to keep up with the latest music in South Korea,
and I watched a few music videos from both boy groups and girl groups.
Three of Big Bang's new songs really got me.
~Blue. Bad Boy. Fantastic Baby~
I was never their fan but then suddenly I got so interested with their fashion and music.
I watched the videos over and over again and
I added another few more hits to their MV's millions of view.

Big Bang's style used to be simple with an edge.
More likely influenced by American hip hoppers,
if I'm not mistaken they are the Korean counterpart of those.
They really are good when it comes to singing and rapping.
Whenever I ask my Korean students about their favorite Korean singer or group,
 hands down, it's always them.
Their infamous member T.O.P is the fiercest and smexxxxiest rapper~slash~actor of all.

For their new album for 2012 they have a very awesome concept.
Big Bang has grown so much and has greatly improved as an artist and
they are now recognized as an icon.  Their style has changed a lot, and
I noticed that they are wearing too much makeup. Especially their leader G~Dragon.

GD (short for G-Dragon, real name Kwon Ji Yong 권지용 )
is a recording artist, singer/dancer, songwriter, 2ne1's producer and a model.
G~Dragon can be named as the male version of Lady Gaga, and he's considered as the most fashionable/stylish Kpop Icon.
He's fearless when it comes to gender bender fashion and
 colorful or even artistic makeups.

This is Big Bang's latest image. Icy Cold, futuristic and weird.
There's a reason behind their transformations but I don't know what is it all about.
Must ask a VIP. ^^

For Fantastic Baby's music video I noticed that G-Dragon is indeed a hottie.
Plus he reminds me of someone that I know that's why I try not to pay attention. :)
I only had my eyes on T.O.P.

I see what you did there GD and your brown eyeshadow LOL ^^ I dig that!
This one freaks me out, I know he loves experimenting with his hairstyle and hair colors,
but his hair is just.... freaky.

Seriously what's up with the bangs?
Maybe he's trying to be a modern day Gothic Rapunzel for this music video concept.
But still Fantastic.

 How cute this baby is!!

Going back to the time when I was staring at myself in the mirror,
I really ship GD's lips so hard that I really have to recreate my own.
My dad was even watching me doing it and he's like,
"What the fuck are you doing to yourself??"

It's not exactly what you see from GD's coz they said it's a feather pattern
and I really couldn't figure out what it is so I just try to make weird patterns that I don't know if it really resembles his lip art. I should've saved his photo in my smartphone but it was a sudden decision, I totally forgot, so I thoughtlessly drew patterns on my lips.
As long as it's white and black, It's fine.

I will be sharing with you the products that I used and it's so easy.
I won't be mentioning a specific brand coz it's just too basic and simple.

What you will need:
~ white eyeliner
~ white eyeshaow
~ black liquid eyeliner
~ a clear gloss

Tutorial:
 1. Line your outer lips with white eyeliner.
2. Work towards your inner lips, using white eyeliner as a base
3. Pat your lips with white eyeshadow.
4. Try to draw some patterns, it can be a feather, or whatever resembles it like what I did. :)
5. GD's lips are glossy so just dab some clear gloss on top,
DON'T RUB! or else you'll rub it all off.

G~Dragon's.

 mine

Once again it's just inspired and recreated, I dunno how his MUA does that
and mine turned out to be like this, and I'm loving it. It looks like a lip tattoo.
I've never tried lip arts so I'm happy with the result of my mediocre take.
I'm pretty sure you guys will do better than me. Why not try it? :)

I really enjoy seeing feminine men wearing makeup,
but surely Ate Janis would be gagging herself while reading this.
She hates men wearing makeups and she makes fun of T.O.P. whenever
she sees him appearing on TV from the Korean drama Iris.
(yep it's currently airing in the Philippines)
Well, I really can't blame her. The first time I saw T.O.P I was like,
"why the hell is he wearing eyeliner?" :)

You can watch their MV here:
