♕ Nabla Cosmetics ~ Freedomination Collection Part 2: Eyeshadows & Liners ♕{Overview, Swatches & Comparisons}

tháng 7 21, 2017     Comparisons, Dazzle Liner, Eyeshadows, Freedomination Collection, Nabla, News, Overview, Press Sample, Preview, Swatches     No comments

{Disclaimer: this post is an overview about a collection I got for free as press sample. I'd like to thank NABLA Cosmetics for the opportunity, anyway my evaluation policy doesn't change and is always based on real use and in-depth testing of the product(s)}

Last week NABLA Cosmetics, on time like every year, launched their summer collection: Freedomination, which is the biggest collection they ever released so far.
It consists of 10 eyeshadows, 4 Diva Crime lipsticks (featuring a new, limited edition packaging), 2 Dreamy Matte Liquid Lipsticks (introducing the new metal finish),  2 Dazzle Liners, 2 Blossom Blushes, 2 Shade&Glow (one highlighter and one bronzer) and two limited edition Liberty palettes.

After showing you lipsticks and face products (here), it's time to show you the eye products: all (well, almost all) the new eyeshadows and the eyeliners!
Ready, set... splash!

The Freedomination Collection includes, as I said, 10 eyeshadows, 2 Dazzle Liners and also two limited edition Liberty palettes with the most beautiful (in my opinion) decoration so far.

I mean, seriously, look at them! *_* The artwork is stunning - watercolour vibes, reminds me of the sea waves and water flowing in general, and the gold detailing is simply precious.
Also, this gold serigraphy looks more resistant than the one of last year's Mermaid palettes (which was fading quite quickly so I put them away and stored my least used shadows in there).
(Background is the mermazing matching Freedomination Box collector's edition - sadly already sold out! - which is so pretty I might turn it into a jewelry box)

How pretty and mesmerizing is this design? I could stare at it four hours - and never get tired of it (yeah, these are my favourite so far!).
Along with the classical Liberty Six (featured in every collection of the past two years), they introduced a new size: the Liberty Four, which can contain 4 eyeshadow pans (or 1 blush pan).
Personally I'd preferred a Liberty 12 instead - having many, many pans the bigger the palette, the better - but I can see how a Liberty 4 could be handy for those who don't own/use many eyeshadows.
Anyway, I'll definitely buy at least one more Liberty Six (and one more Liberty Four for my mom).

This year's eyeshadow range is really well put together, overall. There are two new Celestial shades (can be used alone or as top coat over pencils or other eyeshadows), three Satin, one Bright and four Super-Matte. (No new Super-Brights, sadly)

The theme, inspiration of this collection is freedom - freedom in every way (thoughts, creativity, expression...).
Personally, between the palettes design and the colour range of the shadows, I can't help but think that this collection is subtly connected to last year's - the  Mermaid. Which totally makes sense, since mermaids are a symbol - among other things - of freedom.

Let's see the eyeshadows now! (My very favourite makeup product ♥)
I'm going to show you nine of the ten new shade - all except Alchemy, which was already sold out when I went to the local retailer.

The marked (*) products are the ones I got as press sample. The un-marked ones where purchased by me.

*Virgin Island: "Turquoise with light blue, pink and violet reflects". Celestial

Love at first sight, since it was revealed in MrDaniel's (NABLA's art director) Instagram Stories. In two words: dream eyeshadow.
It's so bright and pigmented (the most pigmented of all the Celestial, so far) that I mistook it for a Super-Bright at first.
The shade is beautiful and extremely mermaidy: a bright turquoise/blue filled with millions of pink and violet sparkles. Its name is SO appropriate *_*
I've already tested it in quite some looks, used alone, as top coat and applied over a black base. Either way it's stunning - I highly recommend trying it applied on a black pencil: it gets darker, but the sparkles stand out even more!

Freestyler: "Baby blue-gold duochrome". Satin

This shade wasn't revealed until the press release, but caught my attention right away. It's an interesting shade: baby blue, muted, with a gentle gold duochrome.
Really pretty, nicely pigmented and silky. So glad they added a light blue shade, it was highly needed in the range!
For a second, when I saw the pictures on the press release, I thought it could be a little silver-ish - but it's not. It's a real baby blue!

*Mystic: "Metallic mauve with pink-champagne reflects". Bright

This eyeshadow is a big surprise: in all honesty, I wasn't that excited when I saw it the first time (on NABLA's Stories). I'm not a fan of mauve, first of all, and this shade didn't seem special.
But I was wrong. It's mauve, yes, but it has quite some pink in it - and is so bright and shiny. To the point I almost thought it was a Super-Bright.
Not exactly a groundbreaking shade in NABLA's range (one similar shadow is Entropy, for example, see swatches) but thanks to its texture it manages to stand out.

*On the Road: "Bronze brown". Satin

This is the only shade that looks a little out of place. Bronze brown, simply as that - buttery, pigmented, bright even though it's a satin (just like Freestyler). Perfectly matches with Goa, they're a great eye/lips combination.
I've yet to do a proper look with it but I do have a some ideas already, I'm getting used to shades that are out of my comfort zone (like this one) and it's fun to try new colour combos :D
I just need to decide which one to do first XD

*Millennium: "Light gold duochrome with coral-pink reflects". Satin

The eyeshadow highlighter of this collection: the description perfectly fits, as it's a really pale shade of gold filled with pink reflects. So filled, that once applied they almost overwhelm the base colour - making it look like a bright pink/coral shade. And that's what happens with Obsexed too - in my skin, at least. They look so similar (in terms of reflects) that once applied I struggle with telling them apart. Guess they'd perform much better on tanned/darker skin tones.

*Blue Velvet: "Night blue". Super-Matte

Most appropriate name ever: looks like it's made out of velvet.
Finally, finally a matte blue shade! In the last couple of years I understood how necessary matte shades are - especially for blending and transitions. I will be forever a huge fan of shimmering eyeshadows, but know I really appreciate matte shades and I always look for new ones. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw that NABLA was about to release 4 new Super-Matte shades in such fun and bright colours!
Since I use blue a lot, Blue Velvet is more than welcome in my stash. It's dark - but not black - wonderfully pigmented and blendable (like all the other Super-Matte shades). Perfect to add depth, to create smooth blendings/transitions.

*New Heaven: "Aquamarine". Super-Matte

Another mermaidy shade, it's my favourite of this collection and potentially my new favourite NABLA eyeshadow.
Pure and simple - so to speak - aquamarine, another dream eyeshadow came true. This is what I meant when I said (last year when the Mermaid collection launched) "we need a Caribbean blue"! *_*
The pigmentation of this eyeshadows is unreal, so intense and rich. (I'm pretty sure I've already used this same words to describe it but oh well, that's the way it is!)
You don't really need to layer to achieve this bright shade, it's a true-to-pan eyeshadow (just like the others, by the way).

Lotus: "Cool pastel pink". Super-Matte

Another unique shade, more than welcome in my stash!
Such a dreamy and romantic eyeshadow, in my opinion. If Virgin Island and New Heaven are mermaid shades, Lotus is definitely an unicorn colour!
Finding pigmented pinks is really hard, but this one it's very true-to-pan and doesn't need layering. Needless to say, it's so easy to blend! I love to pair it to Eresia (they're made to each other) but it really gets along with both Blue Velvet and New Heaven as well!

Eresia: "Warm purple". Super-Matte

Arm... Warm?
On my skin is quite cool toned XD
Anyway, great purple shade: intense and rich, not extremely dark, very pigmented. Another highly, highly needed shade in NABLA's range. Yeah, we already have Mimesis, but as you will see in the swatches, it's a completely different shade of purple.

I am seriously in love with this Super-Matte texture: beyond silky, so easy to blend. It's like they blend all by themself, it's unreal. I think I've already said this in the Sea Goddess post but, since I didn't buy Paprika and Radikal (the first ever Super-Mattes released with the winter collection), those are my first shades in this new texture and thus I was so excited to try them, at last. To me they're BOMB, nothing like the Soft Matte - good eyeshadows, mind you, I use them all the time (Nocturne, Narciso, Fossil & friends)... But the difference in blending is noticeable. I would love to see them turned into Super-Mattes!
Back to this new four shades, they've already become must haves of mine - all of them.

Alchemy is still missing, sadly. I was very curious, although I wasn't 100% sure it could fit me - mostly because of its base shade ("burnt peach")... The more I look at it in other girls looks, though, the more I get convinced it looks really really pretty with its fuchsia & teals sparkles *-*
But as I said, it was already sold out! Next time, perhaps.

I'll admit it - I squealed with joy when they announced that this collection was going to include two more liquid liners aka Dazzle Liners. You know how much I love Klimt, the Dazzle Liner from the Goldust Collection - no wonder I was so excited XD

*Purity: "Mother-of-pearl duochrome"

As I said in the previous post (Sea Goddess Makeup Look), Purity seems to be made out of pure magic.
Might look like a simple white eyeliner - but no, oh no. Depending on the light, I change to a pinkish white or a bluish white.
Might not look rich or pigmented, but it is - I recently did a makeup where I used both Purity and KVD Tatto Liner - the latter being just an outline; at some point I noticed I had to thicken Purity's line, so I had to apply it on top of Trooper - and honestly I wasn't sure it could cover it up... But it did, wonderfully and easily. Once I was done, I couldn't tell that, in that point, there was Trooper underneath.
Its texture is slightly thinner and lighter compared to Klimt, but this doesn't affect pigmentation or application at all.

*Crystal: "Light blue duochrome with a gold-silver sheen"

Another favourite piece of this collection! Mermaid eyeliner, anyone? xD
I've never seen such a bright light blue liquid liner. It shines like a gemstone - throw it in to even the simplest look to add a special touch to it.
It's supposed to have both a gold and silver sheen, but on my only the silver one shows up. Anyway, it's stunning - pigmented and long lasting just like Klimt (same goes for Purity).

Apart for the slight texture difference, and the different colour of the cap (that matches the collection) there're no more differences with Klimt. The packaging is the very same, as well as the brush included. Made out of bristle, really fine and precise - a big yes for me!

Needless to say, I'll be getting backups of both Purity and Crystals since they're limited edition. Why NABLA, why? ç_ç
Natural lighting, eyeshadows were applied dry with no primer underneath. Click to enlarge!
My skin tone is NW15

Let's start with a big family portrait of all the eyeshadows (above) and a close up of the two liner (below)!

All the shadows where finger-swatched, they're all silky/buttery and well pigmented. The liners, as I said, have a thinner texture so they might not look rich and full on the arm swatch - but they're on the lids, they really are!

~ Comparisons ~

I love this picture, because those are basically the colours of my mermaid tail XD I need to do a mermaid look using them all!
New Heaven VS Shore Thing by MUG: they're different in both shade and pigmentation: Shore Thing is way lighter, greener and less pigmented compared to New Heaven - which is purely aquamarine and is so intense.

Virgin Island VS Poolside by MUG: completely different shadows, as Poolside is shimmer but nothing like Virgin Island which is literally full of light. Poolside is also quite hard on the pan (it's my only MUG shadow like that luckily), while Virgin Island is beyond buttery.

Eresia VS Mimesis: this is pretty self explanatory! Two completely different shades, a dark eggplant vs a bright purple - and also two different types of matte.

On the Road VS Unrestricted: another quite different colours, with On the Roady being a bronzed brownish shade with a gentle sheen, and Unrestricted being a deep burgundy with strong golden sparkles.

Lotus VS Lilac Wonder VS Calypso VS Hopscotch by MUG: Hopscotch has more blue in it than Lotus, much like Lilac Wonder which is a pale violet shade. Lotus looks more related to Calypso - a pink purple shade. (I need to try those two together!)

Blue Velvet VS Baltic VS Boo Berry by MUG: Blue Velvet reminds me a lot of Baltic, as they're both dark and intense. Anyway, Blue Velvet looks a tad 'brighter' - I think it has less black in it than Baltic. Boo Berry is a completely different shade of blue, instead: a medium denim blue that I think could easily get along with Blue Velvet.

Mystics VS Entropy VS Chemical Bond: here you can clearly see what I meant before. Mystic, compared to both Entropy and Chemical Bond has more pink in it. Both Entropy and Mystic are mauve, and they look quite similar, but that pink addiction helps Mystic stand out. Entropy has a golden/taupe base, while Chemical Bond is a bronzed platinum shade.

Monoi VS Obsexed VS Sugar VS Sensuelle: capturing in picture Monoi and Obsexed is a mission impossible, my phone and I almost freaked out. This picture just shows you the base colours of both - peachy for Obsexed, the palest gold for Monoi - but not the strong pinkish sheen they both have (that on my skin looks almost the same).
Anyway, the look different from both Sensuelle and Sugar, as they have a light pink base and gold sheen/sparkles.

(If you need a specific swatch/comparison let me know in a comment!)

My very first impressions about this collection (regarding eye products) are extremely positive, I'm really really happy with the eyeshadow range - so many new interesting and useful shades - and of course I'm over the moon because of the new Dazzle Liners. This collection definitely is my favourite on a tie with the Mermaid - which is no small thing ;D Kudos, NABLA!

♕ Nabla Cosmetics ~ Freedomination Collection Part 1: Lipsticks & Face Powders ♕{Overview & Swatches}

tháng 7 13, 2017     Blossom Blush, Diva Crime, Dreamy Matte Liquid Lipstick, Freedomination Collection, Nabla, News, Overview, Press Sample, Shade & Glow, Swatches     No comments

{Disclaimer: this post is an overview about a collection I got for free as press sample. I'd like to thank NABLA Cosmetics for the opportunity, anyway my evaluation policy doesn't change and is always based on real use and in-depth testing of the product(s)}

Yesterday was the big day: the new summer collection by NABLA Cosmetics, Freedomination, officially launched! I had the great pleasure of receiving almost all the new products as a preview a few days ago - if you follow me on Instagram you surely know that already! - and I've been working on the overview post since then, testing the products meanwhile.

This collection is huge: includes 10 eyeshadows, 4 Diva Crime lipsticks (featuring a new, limited edition packaging), 2 Dreamy Matte Liquid Lipsticks (introducing the new metal finish),  2 Dazzle Liners, 2 Blossom Blushes, 2 Shade&Glow (one highlighter and one bronzer) and two limited edition Liberty palettes - introducing the new Liberty Four, along with the well-known Liberty Six. Various bundles are available (although some are already sold out!).
It's the biggest NABLA collection ever released so far - and I soon realized that doing one single post would be a little problematic. You know how I deal with overviews: I try to the describe the products in depth, sharing my thoughts and considerations, adding tons of pictures, swatches and comparisons. This usually results in really long post - but this time I anticipated the overview to be crazily long.

So I decided to split the overview in two parts: one dedicated to eyeshadows and liners, one to face products (such as blush, highlighter and brozer) and all the lipsticks. I also decided to do so because I feel like this collection is kind of divided in two - like if the eye products made a collection on their own, same for the face & lip products.
I originally planned to post the eyeshadows' part first, but some unforeseen difficulty occurred and I had to postpone it - so today I'm going to show you what was supposed to be part two: face powders & lipsticks.

As I previously stated, the Freedomination Collection includes two Blossom Blushes {Happytude and Habana}, two Shade & Glow {Monoi, the bronzer, and Obsexed, the highlighter}, four Diva Crime lipsticks {Perfect Day, Bohème, Reverse and Goa} and two Dreamy Matte Liquid Lipsticks {Antimatter and Fetish Mauve}.

I received all of them, apart from Habana (the peachy blush), so I'm going to give you an almost complete overview of this part of the collection.
Let's start with the lipsticks - I got tons and tons of requests on Instagram regarding the lip products, so there you go!

(Left to right: Perfect Day, Bohème, Reverse and Goa ~ cool natural lighting).

Perfect Day: "Red velvet cake"

My favourite shade out of this new range! I thought it was cooler and deeper, but it's actually a medium, warm shade of red (I guess it might have some white it in, it's more muted, less saturated). Compared to Alter Ego and Beverly (see swatches), you can tell that it has a warmer undertone.

I'd say it's a "gentle" red, because it's not super-bright and/or dramatic. Although I prefer cooler tones, I've already worn this shade a couple of time and felt really good. I will be definitely wearing Perfect Day a lot in the upcoming months!

Bohème: "Rosy mauve"

I have a problem with mauve lipsticks: on my lips, they tend to look like a completely different colour (usually brownish). I fear mauve shades. But I had some hope for Bohème, being described as 'rosy'.

It definitely has some pink in it, not that much - but that's enough to look quite good on my lips. Still a mauve shade (you cannot mistake it for a pink) but, for once, not brownish!

Probably not the most flattering shade on me, but I'm pretty positive I can wear it fearlessly - especially if paired with the right eye look.

Reverse: "Dusty lilac"

Reverse is a lilac with a lot of gray in it. On me, for example, it looks more gray than lilac - and unfortunately gives me an unflattering drowned effect. Really unflattering.

Nevertheless - it's creamy, easy to apply and pigmented - so if you know you can rock this shade... Go for it!
(Otherwise, if you want a more easy to wear shade, try Bohème)

Goa: "Metallic rose terracotta"

The only metallic shade in this small selection, and also the one that totally scared me XD
(Very) Warm medium brown with a subtle rose sheen in it. It's way out of my comfort zone (and also out of my "it's dramatic/bold/bright but I'll wear it anyway" zone) so I'll probably use it just for lip arts purposes.

Unlike the others, when applied it feels a little hard, like slightly more 'solid', and it's texture is thinner - yet is very comfortable on the lips, and quite pigmented (needs two layers to achieve a rich effect).
The metallic effect is gently noticeable - you can definitely tell it's not a matte shade. It shows way better on the lips than on the arm swatches, actually!

I love Diva Crime lipsticks. They're very performing, they don't dry up the lips (which is crucial is you have naturally dry lips like me) and are like weightless once applied. I cannot tell if these new shades are just like their predecessors yet, as I need way more time to test them in different situations, seasons and weather conditions. They surely do look promising, though. (I'll post lip swatches along with the upcoming looks, stay tuned for that!)
Please note: although indicated as "limited edition", this refers to the lilac packaging, not the shades themself!

Let's see now the two new Dreamy Liquid Lipsticks, Antimatter and Fetish Mauve.

(Antimatter on the left, Fetish Mauve on the right)

Antimatter: "Rose Gold. Metal"

Antimatter is the first, in the Dreamy Liquid Lipsticks range, to feature a metal finish instead of the usual matte. It's the first of the Dreamy Metal range, I'd say (although it's still listed along with the matte ones, which could be a little confusing), and has a slightly different packaging - clear instead of opaque.

This shade is simply stunning, like real liquid rose gold.
Very, very unique and uncommon - not sure how many people can actually wear this colour.
On my lips is more gold than rose - but you can still tell it's not pure gold. Mind you, it's not a shade I would easily wear outside (I have no problem going around wearing the craziest eye looks... But I tend to wear only fuchsia, pink and red on my lips - definitely need to work on this XD).
Anyway, I have a lip art ready to be posted on Instagram where I used Antimatter - so I'm sure you're going to see it quite a bit on there. I also want to try it as eyeliner asap.

It's very comfortable on the lips, dried up really fast and immediately became no transfer. It stayed a little sticky where the lips touch on the center. It's really pigmented, you don't need to layer it to obtain the shade you see in the pack!

Fetish Mauve: "Mauve. Matte"

A matte mauve (you don't say!) - a true mauve. No pink/rose in it, just mauve - and it shows. If you try Bohème and Fetish Mauve side by side (I did that on my lips, not on my arm) you can clearly see how much they're different. Compared to Fetish Mauve, Bohème almost looks pink. Almost.

Back to Fetish Mauve - its characteristics are really good just like Antimatter (pigmented, no-transfer, dries quickly) so if you like mauve shades, again, you can go for it!

As for the Dive Crime, I need to test these in depth - actually, even more in-depth, because these are my very first Dreamy Liquid Lipsticks! I haven't put my fins on any of the ones that launched two months ago, sadly - so they're a whole new world to me *-*
(One of my concerns with this liquid lipsticks was the scent - too strong for my taste - but thankfully once worn it becomes imperceptible, and I can use it without problems. Phew.)

Now let's move on to the face powders included into this collection. Out of four pieces, I received three of them - basically I'm only missing the blush in Habana (the peachy one).

Blossom Blush in Happytude: "Intense pastel pink"

(How cute is its name? ♥)
A bright shade of pink, gives a nice healthy look to the cheeks. It's more pigmented than Daisy (another pink shade currently available in the Blossom Blush range), I like it better! They might look pretty similar, but they're not: Daisy is paler and more subtle, while Happytude is brighter and, again, more pigmented. One thing they have in common is their finish, as they're both matte.
(Please see the swatches in the next section!)

Shade & Glow in Obsexed: "Peach champagne with pink copper reflects". Highlighter.

Not sure about how I feel towards Obsexed - especially when compared to Millennium, (which we'll see it in part 2) as they look so similar on me. The shade is pretty cute: a peachy base with a mostly pink sheen. It's really hard to capture in picture - looks yellowish, but it's really peachy with a pinch of coral (because of the sheen).
Very, very summery. It's subtle, I have to layer it quite a bit to make it noticeable - medium/darker skin won't probably experience this 'issue'. I tried it as inner corner highlighter and it looked good - but very similar to Millennium.

Shade & Glow in Monoi: "Warm medium brown with a gold sheen". Bronzer.

Personally I don't really use bronzers (I do use sculpting shades, but they're different - cool toned and matte to begin with, so I can't use Monoi as such) as I don't tan, don't fake tanning and pretty much enjoy being a snow bunny even in the middle of the summer. Plus, I'm not sure it fits a really pale person like me - it would probably look much better on darker skin tones, or on those who actually tan during summertime.
But I think I might use it as eyeshadows, it's really pretty: warm with a lovely gold sheen.
The following pictures are quite big, so click to enlarge!

Here're the 'family pictures' of all the lipsticks (above) and face powders (below). All products were applied on un-primed skin (the powders were finger-swatched) with natural daylight.

Here're a couple of comparisons - currently missing Obsexed's one, due to technical issues (aka I couldn't get a proper picture, the colours looked wrong - I will try again as soon as possible, it was a big comparison).

That's all for now!

Stay tuned for part 2 - I'll make sure I'll include more swatches & comparisons, along with my overall considerations about this new beautiful collection!
I most likely won't be able to post part 2 tomorrow though - as I still need to buy the missing eyeshadows, take all their pics, do the swatches and so on.
So please bear with me, I do have a makeup look featuring some of the new eyeshadows to show you meanwhile!

The Freedomination Collection is available at www.nablacosmetics.com (and authorized retailers) and there's a special promo (ends on July 23, 2017):

♕ Nabla Cosmetics ~ Potion Paradise Collection ♕{Overview, Swatches, First Impressions}

tháng 11 22, 2016     Comparisons, Cream Eyeshadows, Crème Shadow, First Impressions, Nabla, News, Overview, Potion Paradise, Press Sample, Preview, Swatches     No comments

{Disclaimer: this post is a first impressions/preview about a product I got for free as press sample. I'd like to thank NABLA Cosmetics for the opportunity, anyway my evaluation policy doesn't change and is always based on real use and in-depth testing of the product(s)}

It's been a while since NABLA Cosmetics launched new colours for their Crème Shadow range. It debuted about one year ago with six shades, then three new ones were added with the winter Artika collection and one more, shortly after, was introduced to celebrate NABLA's birthday in December. No new adds since then - until now.

The Potion Paradise Collection features six new shades, five of them being shimmery and just one completely matte. One of them is actually the cream version of a preexisting eyeshadow, but the other five are completely new, original colours!

I'm sorry I wasn't able to post this overview earlier, I always try to post close to the launch day (usually slightly after)... Sadly, this time the weather has been really inclement (and still is, honestly), making nearly impossible for me to take any good pictures for several days in a row. Which is a problem, when you're a beauty blogger and you rely on natural light alone.
Anyway, I finally made it! Just in time - the traditional launching promo ends tonight, but hopefully this overview could still be useful to some of you, for future purchasing!

Potion Paradise
A collection where the Apollonian meets the Dionysian in a retro-futuristic pastel-shaded scenario.
Where the past runs towards the future in a rush that encodes a new concept of equilibrium.
A post-modern collection stating new codes in the name of freedom of expression.
Are you ready to discover all the secrets of these new 6 Crème Shadow?

Can we take a second to appreciate this Special Box that contains all the new shades? *___* NABLA is doing an amazing job with their limited edition boxes! Remember the Brow Universe one? This one is smaller, with this cute girlish style - I think I'm going to store my Crème Shadow in there forever! The magnetic closure is a touch of class, for sure ♥

As I said previously, this new collection features six new shades - which you can buy individually or together in this cool box (which is a limited edition and website exclusive, mind you!). I am so excited to get to try them - as I always say I'm a pressed/powder eyeshadow kind of lady, but I've always been curious about creamy eyeshadows!
In case you're wondering, these are not my very first Crème Shadows - I already own Christine, which I adore (here's a look I made using it a while back!) especially when it comes to quick, everyday looks!

Time to see each new colour in detail!

Let's start with the first shade I noticed, the one that totally stole my heart: Petite Mélodie!
"Duochrome light lilac with pink-blue and wisteria sheen. Bright."
I'd say it is kind of a periwinkle shade, so cute and fairy-like *_*
But... It doesn't give an even application (at least on my skin), it tends to streak and create spots - if you now what I mean.
The key is to find the right brush: I experimented a bit with fingers and a couple of different brushes and, for now, I found that a thick, stiff brush guarantees a nice application. I suggest to layer, start with a thin coat and then build up the colour. Make sure you don't overdo though!

The second colour I noticed is Rea, the darkest one in this new range - and also the only satin shade!
"Dark amethyst with plum and ruby red reflects. Satin."
Lovely. Deep and intense - the more you layer it, the best it will get.
Its base is really dark, but it's filled with purple and red sparkles - resulting in such an unique shade!
I was a little afraid it would be hard to blend, but it isn't - you just need to be quick. You may also want to use a transition shade - such as another purple - to perfect the blending, but Rea itself won't be an huge deal.
I've already tried it as eyeliner too - and it's superb! *_*

Hyperspace
"Light platinum gold. Bright."
I don't know why, but Hyperspace reminds me of another Créme Shadow, Husky. Well, kind of. I don't own Husky, I just tried it once (and I was not enough convinced so I ended up not buying it), but I had this feeling when I first saw Hyperspace. I really wish I had Husky to compare them!
Anyway, Hyperspace is such a weird shade - in a positive way. A couple of friends of mine referred to it as the "green shade of the collection" - which is hilarious, but I must admit that Hyperspace has some green in it that tends to show up once applied (especially on the eyes). I have yet to find a real platinum shade, honestly, that doesn't contain any green in it.
That being said, though, I'm liking this shade more than I anticipated! Its texture is so good - not streaky at all, easy to work with, nicely pigmented.

Utopia
"Copper antique bronze. Bright."
A beautiful, bright copper shade. So pigmented and rich - I'm not an huge fan of copper/bronze colour but this one is just too pretty!
It's probably the one with the best texture of all: easy to apply, to blend, no streaks, no spots... No need to layer and layer to obtain an intense result. (I wish Petite Mélodie had this texture!)I need to try it as eyeliner, I have a feeling it'll look so good! *_*

Morning Glory - the only matte shade in this collection!
"Nude beige-rose. Matte."
This shade is meant to be used as an eye base, plus is supposed to be Underpainting's pink counterpart, I guess.
I tried it as eyeprimer and I was very pleased with the result! First of all, it's a very soft pink that makes the lid even (covering small blemishes and imperfections) and gives a very fresh look. I was afraid it would cause blending troubles (meaning, making eyeshadows harder to blend) but it doesn't, at all. It's weightless and, once dried, almost impalpable.
Also nice to use to "clean the edges" aka if you want to perfect/correct an eyeliner wing, negative spaces, things like that.

Finally, Entropy aka one of NABLA best selling eyeshadow, now available as Créme Shadow.
"Medium hazelnut-mauve. Bright."
Looks like almost everyone raves about this colour... And then there's me, totally unimpressed XD
I own the eyeshadow version, I bought it one year ago more or less... When I swatched it on my hand it looked interesting, but once I tried it on my lids I immediately realized it was a big nope. (And this is why I don't rely on hand swatches only. The best way to evaluate a product is by applying it on where it belongs to!)
Same goes with this version of Entropy, looks cute on my arm - but not as cute on my eyes ^^" But I'm sure a lot of you will love this shade, being very discreet and neutral! If you need a natural shade, easy to apply, for quick everyday look - go for it!

I've been using these cuties for about one week now - still too early for a proper review, so I'll give you my very first, general impressions, keep an eye on my upcoming makeup looks for more details and thoughts!

So far, I noticed that they effortlessly last a long - they stay in place and don't move around, the colours don't fade and still look bright and deep after hours. I haven't had the chance to test their waterproof quality, I'll keep you updated on that.
Regarding the texture(s), well, I think I've cleared out already how different are from each other XD For now, the worst seems to be Petite Mélodie (sigh ç_ç), the best Utopia. Rea needs quite some layering, to achieve that beautiful deep purple shade, while Hyperspace, Utopia and Entropy are nicely pigmented on their own.
They all dry pretty quickly, and after that they're set and will stay on for hours. To remove them, I tried both wipes and micellar solution to remove them - and both worked. I'll just stick with the micellar solution because it makes the removing process a little easier.

I only wish this collection featured more brand new shades - such a bright blue, for example, or an aqua green. I feel like Hyperspace is a bit redundant (being chromatically close to Husky) and Entropy... Well, it's not a new shade. I feel like these two spots in the collection could have been filled differently, with more unique shades. Weirdly enough, I'm glad they included Morning Glory - a pink matte base is crucial for cool-toned people like me. Underpainting is too yellowish to properly work on us, so I'm very very happy with the new Morning Glory shade!

The PAO (aka expiring date) is about 6 months - but my Christine is almost one year old and still 100% perfect. Creamy and pigmented as day 1. Make sure you always close the cap after each use, and store the jar adequately. The more you'll take care of them, the more they're going to last!

Isododecane · mica · polyethylene · cyclopentasiloxane · trimethylsiloxysilicate · disteardimonium hectorite · cyclohexasiloxane · quaternium-90 bentonite · polyester-4 · vp/va copolymer · pentylene glycol · boron nitride · sorbitan sesquioleate · synthetic beeswax · acacia decurrens/jojoba/sunflower seed wax polyglyceryl-3 esters · bis-diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2 · trihydroxystearin · propylene carbonate · calcium aluminum borosiilcate · silica · syntethic fluorphlogopite · calcium sodium borosilicate · [+/− (may contain): ci 77891 (titanium dioxide), ci 77491 - ci 77492 - ci 77499 (iron oxides), ci 77510 (ferric ferrocyanide), ci 77163 (bismuth oxychloride), ci 77861 (tin oxide)]

Definitely not a natural formula for these cream eyeshadows - no wonder though, they're made to be long lasting and waterproof! Personally I didn't get any kind of reaction, even though they are silicone based. No itchiness, no pink/watery/weeping eyes, no irritations - nothing. If you have sensitive eyes, I recommend trying them one before buying - better safe than sorry. That's what I did last year, to see if my eyes could stand the formula ;D

Here are my very, very rushed swatches. Seriously. A pale sun came out for literally five minutes today, I just had the time to grab the box, quickly swatch each shade and took a couple of pictures... And it was already gone. So this picture will have to do, sorry everyone T_T

As usual - natural light, no primer used. You can tell each shadow has a different texture - and you can see how problematic Petite Mélodie is. I feel like it doesn't want to adhere to my skin... Shame on your cow T_T

Petite Mélodie VS Lilac Wonder: I don't know why, but they looked very similar in the jar/pan, but once swatched you can tell they're worlds apart. I can't stress enough how much I love Petite Mélodie shades, and how much painful is its texture on my skin ç____ç Thankfully I was able to use it with a nice result (here's the look) - I just wish it was easier to apply.

Hyperspace is a platinum, not gold nor silver... So I thought I'd compare it with a gold and a silver to enhance the differences!
Citron is a pure lime gold, beyond beautiful. Frozen, on the other hand, is the purest silver ever, while Aurum is a classic antique gold, with a strong green undertone. Hyperspace looks like a mix between Frozen and Aurum, not really platinum - but not really green at all.

Sadly I don't own the right shades for a proper Utopia comparison - no Rust, no Aphrodite. I need to go shopping asap!! Time to fill the gap in my NABLA's eyeshadow stash!
Anyway, I compared it to Glitz (a lovely amber bronze) and to Unrestricted (a burgundy filled up with golden sparlkes - a friend asked for this comparison ♥). You can tell how copper-ish Utopia is - with no brown undertones, also.

I compared Rea to Mimesis (a matte purple) and Juno Moon (a lighter purple with a strong reddish base). Rea looks almost cool on my skin, but it is not - thanks to it's red sparkles, impossible for me to capture in picture... But very noticeable in real life.

Lastly, Entropy - both eyeshadow and Crème Shadow versions. The eyeshadow one looks paler and somehow softer, while the creamy one seems darker and more brown. In both case the mauve disappears on me. I added Chemical Bond, another neutral shade - very, very close to Entropy in my opinion. Less brown and a tad more silver perhaps... Nothing groundbreaking in both cases, honestly.
